Topic: The final countdown Posted: 11 April 2007 at 8:21pm |
yay only 4 days till DH is home, I cant believe 3 weeks is nearly up, he gets home on sunday night, He will probably be so tired he will need to sleep for about 2 days, but he has all next week off. I have really missed him this time, usually it doesnt bother me at all I just enjoy having 3 weeks to myself, but now with a baby I might have actually come to appreciate all that he does ( but i will never admit it to him).
i have saved so many boy jobs for him to do though, I am wondering if it would be mean to make him a list of chores....hmmmm. ..........probably,
Any ways yay for me,

He has been in the bush,
not sure if you have heard of Project K, its a youth development programme run for young teens, the first part of the programme is a wilderness experience where they basically go bush for 3 weeks and learn to survive with minimal contact with the world, no phones, i-pods, tv ect, and they have to write and post letters if they want to get in touch with their families,
So thats where he has been, Its a great programme so i dont mind him doing it, I just miss him is all.

yep I know Project K. Your DH is a star for getting involved in that, it is does such wonderful things for "kids". A friend of a friend's son did it a while back and is always raving on about how it changed his life

Yeah, it is a great programme, they have a metor stage after where the kids get a mentor for a year, so we are both mentors for that aswell.
You gotta think, these kids are going to be the ones running the country when our babies grow up, so we have to do something to help them out.
