I will share my secret 'helping Aucklanders of the future' plan... (she liked this at coffee group so I figured I'd share with the rest of you mean cloth nappy users...)
I'm using disposable nappies to create a greater environment for Aucklanders of the future. Rosedale, a bulking subdivision of the North Shore, filled with exciting shops and overpriced housing has largely come about because foreward thinking Aucklanders such as myself have created so much rubbish it needed to be dumped somewhere. By creating all this trash, we are helping solve the problem of land shortage...mangroves and swamps are being created into suburban havens....and for an added bonus, the kids of the future will have the excitement of digging up cute little butterfly patterns from the front of the nappies....archeological digs....land AND education. Yup. Helpful. That's me.

LMAO, definitely original!

Must confess that having a partner who drives a rubbish truck and can thus get rid of huge volumes of rubbish free of charge is not a great incentive for me to recycle

Ditto - excellent lateral thinking, I can't say I've ever had that excuse either!

It's called sarcasm Toni
(As a sposie user myself, I can see the funny side, although I feel guilty every time I throw one away, does that help? )

Ah yes, but didn't you see on the news a couple of weeks back, they have invented a machine to recycle sposies!

See Emma....not just helping the environment but also helping to create new environment AND employ more people...the extent of my helping surprises even myself some days...and by having TWO kids in nappies I'm doubly helping.
