Topic: My pity party... Posted: 16 April 2007 at 7:30am |
So Ihave been thinking that after three years of being here I am still not much of a poster, so here is a snippet of my day yesterday...
I was putting my babes into the car, was negotiating around the rear facing carseat that has crazy straps everywhere making it tricky to get Kaia in. I was wearing my sunglasses on my head. As I put her in I smushed my head into the door frame. After a few quiet naughty words I went into the bathroom to check the damage. I gouged my glasses into my head, scrapping it enough to make it bleed (and WOW do heads BLEED!). It was only a little cut but enough to REALLY hurt! So there I am feeling sorry for myself, and to top off my bad moment, my sunnies got so badly smushed that they are now in the bin.
So I have a sore head and no glasses. Poo!

PS. This is my second user name, so I guess that has to be taken into account but a grand total of 296 really is pathetic! Must try harder!

Aw poor you, hate that ay! I always manage to break my sunglasses, so end up having to buy a new pair every summer - could be to do with the fact that I buy cheapo sunnies, or it could be lucky that I buy cheapo sunnies otherwise I'd waste alot of money!!

Ouch, ouch and ouch!!! I also buy cheap glasses as Abby has broken a few pairs or I am forever losing them. I hope they weren't dear ones.

Ouch! I know what you mean about all the straps, and I've bumped my head several times but never with glasses on. But yay for the chance for a bit of retail therapy!

Ouchie! I bought a cheap pair of decoy glasses for Andrew to play with to try and keep him away from my actual glasses but the lil' bugger broke them within seconds. In fact, he used them to improve his glasses destroying technique so that he can rip apart glasses with two quick moves.
Back to your head - have you got much of a bruise today? I understand that shopping and visits to cafes help that... and when are you going to bring your two over here to play? They're practically related since you know Matt and I know Matt....

Awwww... you guys are great!!
They were cheapie glasses! I cannot be trusted with anything more than a twenty dollar pair, I always break them! In fact, I have had these ones for almost a year which is a record for me!
My head is recovering nicely, I am a big whinger so keep reminding Andy that I need special attention cause I am INJURED! Unfortunately he knows me too well and doesn't fall for it anymore! I do have the promise of another pair tho which is good! I am the anti-shopper tho so maybe I will suffer without for a while!
Maree - coffee and gossip does do wonders for a sore head, in fact chocolate has healing properties also! I saw Matt the other day, not enough for a whole conversation but I did get a hug! Saw Lorraine too, do they have a date yet?
Lizzle - So nice to be remembered! My two are good! Running me ragged tho! Quinn has hit a terror phase which involved jumping off every surface (often ONTO his sister as our house is as large as a shoebox!) and Kaia is good, getting big!
And Ann, yeah, my choice of words for the occasion were not ones to be proud of! I really do need to learn to watch what I say too, quinn latest phrase (which he pulled out especially for the in laws) is THAT SUCKS! (which to be honest is a lot better than a lot of the other words he has been known to pull out!)

Anna - They're talking about getting married in the Cook Islands next October. I think they're knocking some more of the mortgage off before then. Matt's seriously into biking now (motor, not push), though truth be told he looks more like George Michael in his leathers than Valentino Rossi....
