Topic: weird things WE say Posted: 23 April 2007 at 11:45am |
Gave Jake and Taine some tiny teddies for morning tea and afterwards, decided to have an apple myself. So i was munching away and Jake asked ofr an apple
i turned around and saw that he hadn't eaten his cookies and said
"no, you eat those biscuits first and then you can have the apple"
Lewis looked at me like WTF?
and then i realised what I had said.
Jake got an apple.

Okay never had that one myself. My girl just throws her cookie on the floor and grab an apple out of her Dad's hand or if I am busy grating cheese she will stick out her hand until I give her cheese.
Mmmm strange things I say.... Lets think here. Cant think of anything right now.

Yep I did that the other day... finish your pumpkin pie (pudding) then you can have some toast. What a weirdo! I changed my mind, figured if they wanted marmite toast instead of pumpkin pie then it would probably be better for them anyways

yeah i've done that sorta thing lots. right now ayja has a big thing for bananas.. so sometimes i actuallywill not let her have one.. i think 4 in a day might be verging on a bit too many for such a small girl.

When I am telling Jake off (happens often, lol)I catch myself going "I SAID NO AND THATS THE END OF IT" of course, it is NEVER the end of it.

The only thing I can think of right now is when Hannah is doing her "Don't!" thing and I say "Don't say don't Hannah... ohhh... feck"

Maya is a womble. I have no idea why, but that's just what I call her.
And tonight she said to me, "Mama. Listen to me. I'm not going to tell you again. I want icecream".
I wonder who she got that from

OMG it totally cracks me up when DH's say 'just hang on a minute' to their kids/babies. Yeah right!!! Babies don't know the meaning of that! DH says it to Ashlee all the time.

Josiah's turning into a parrot at the moment (but only copies us and Kiya when noone else is around - go figure) and so Nat and I are really noticing the random things we say:
"Hang on!" (used for "Wait a minute")
"Xavier's George. Josiah's Monkey" or whatever toy that Josiah has claimed
and our current all time favourite: "KIIII-YAAAA!!!!"

Lol Mel I've said that one too.
The other day Abby asked for something and I said "In a minute" then I caught my eldest with his arm around her saying "It's ok micheal will get it cause when mum says in a minute she always forgets or a minute is a really long time!"
So I have also been told by Micheal when I say "Maybe" it means NO and when DH says it it means YES.
