Topic: Personal question - PC Exercises Posted: 30 April 2007 at 8:24am |
Okay this is really TMI in a big way.
I seem to have a *ahem* big gaping hole from pushing out the last baby but it hasn't closed as much as I thought it would.... at least it's not as closed as I dimly recall from after baby #2. Is this normal? Am I just expecting things too soon? I'm not having any problems with incontinence. Here's the TMI bit... I can't "hold on" to my finger. Is that bad? Thanks ladies

Lol Deb!
Yep this is a way TMI topic,..but yes I have the same prob! I havent tried the finger thing tho! Lol! But I cant feel anything move when i try and sqeeze my pelvic floor muscles anymore,..I try regularly to try to strengthen/ tighten things up.
My biggest mistake was looking with a mirror down there about a week after I gave birth,..I will be traumatised by that image forever

LOsoveryL!! I did the same think, Kellz!
Yeah I can honestly say that things are far from what they were, and I've been doing my exercises. Blinkin's Ella's oversized head (they warned me, too)! I read that in 3 months your lady-parts should all be back to normal if you do regular PC exercises... yeah, right!

Obviously I don't hav that issue having had a c-section but have thought about trying these?. I know of plenty of people who swear by them. I went to a Joanna G party (which is were I got mine) and the lady talked of having the same problem, she found things got a whole lot better using these for several hours a day. When she started using them she couldn't even keep them in properly!!!!
Could be worth a shot.

Quoting the site: "Quite enjoyable to wear, but I find they rattle audibly when I walk or laugh, and so I don't recommend wearing them around the office..." !!!

Apparently you can solve that problem by getting plastic ones.... according to my former boss they wouldn't click as much (like I really needed to know she had metal ones!!! )

I have no pelvic floor muscles. They quit and headed for a role with better perks and fewer overheads some time during my pregnancy with the gremlins. Have I ever said that the human body is not designed to give birth to more than one baby at a time

Hehehe, this is funny to read I've never heard of the holding your finger thing.
I've started playing netball again and I have noticed that when I move too quickly my bladder is definatley not as 'secure' as it used to be. Shame...I can't believe I just said that 'out loud'

Ugh I looked too and it wasn't pretty. (I've now been stitched twice down there.) I don't think my bladder would be all that great with netball either, I'm still nervous about sneezing without warning!
I once heard that if the PC Muscles are as they should be, you ought to be able to hold onto something the size of a pencil... not that I've ever tried! I only tried the finger cause I was in the bath
And Emma... I've heard you say many a time that there were 3 minutes between the twins
