Not sure how much fun this will be but we will not be too far away from a beach so we should be able to keep the kids busy.
I am driving my mum up to see her brother who doesnt have long to live & so my sister & I can say good-bye also & its also a good chance for our aunty to meet my girls. So the 'family bus' will be full, 3 adults & 3 children 11, 3 & 18mths. Taking a break from packing & preparing food for the trip. Having to take a few extra changes of clothes for Ashlyn as she is new being without a nappy & still have an accident or two. I won't be able to spend too long at my cousins place as the girls will be too tireing to have around for too long & also Anastasia started with the runny nose & sneezing yesterday so don't want to take bugs to their house if I can help it.
Uncle has emphasema (sp) & fluid on lungs etc
We are driving up tomorrow & coming home on Saturday & its been such a long time since I was in Nelson it will be nice to get re-aquainted with other parts of New Zealand.

Take it easy on the journey! Rest when you are tired and share the driving etc!

It do wonderful of you to be taking your mum and sister up to say goodbye to your uncle. I'm sure your family is really appreciative.

Thanks Bee, I am actually really looking forward to driving up, love driving & we not long ago got a family van so it will be good to see how it goes.
Mum & sister are very appreciative, I love being able to help her out now that she is a bit older & not enjoying driving like she used to. They are both smokers so they are getting a bit wound up bout being in the car for so long and mum is a nervous passanger.
I'm sure we will have a great time (will make sure we do) & it will be a nice time for us girls to get away, poor Oliver will be the only boy - all that attention at 11 years old!!!
