Topic: Hows your weekend? Posted: 04 June 2007 at 1:18pm |
Just wondering what everyone's up to this weekend. I presume it's the run of the mill for a lot of us cause there seems to be a lot of us on here today
Not much going on at our place. We did a good clean-up at home, went to my sister's birthday bash last night, and are having friends over for dinner tonight (I'm doing main and they're bringing dessert). DH was fantastic actually, on Saturday morning at breakfast time he got me to write a list of what needed doing that day and he motivated the kids and we all pitched in and got a heap done! Instead of everyone play and mum do all the work!

Both Saturday and Sunday we hit the malls and took advantage of the sales... lots of fun for me not so much for hubbie...
We've had a really lazy day today; I've finished reading a book that I started yesterday afternoon, read that to 12.30 while the kids did their own thing and hubbie played on the xbox... we've had our showers, and I'm sitting here eating a bacon sandwhich. Planning on walking down to Dressmart later to have a nosey around and tonight we will settle in for our normal Monday night tv viewing...A perfect day for us.

Oooh dear ... *backs away from BS very quietly*
It's all quiet here - I baked a batch of chocolate brownies so we could have coffee and yummies at home (ala curbing rampant consumerism), loaded some clothes and things on TM which probalby won't sell because I was very lazy about the descriptions ...and as soon as I get my butt off OB, I'll have some lunch and then take the puppies to the park for playtime. Jess dragged her lead to the doorway about a half hour ago, and was lying there with her chin on it looking at e mournfully ...so I think they'd like to go for a walk
Some housework has taken place ...not much ...and the washing on the line has been drowned several times too
Very exciting stuff ...why, exactly, when we were little kids, and teens, couldn't we wait to be grown-ups??

We've had an awesome weekend Stepkiddies arrived on Friday night, Saturday morning we wen into the city and got all the kiddies some new winter clothes. Sat arvo we dropped the 3 kids at their grandies place and Jono and I went to the All Blacks game, then out to our favourite bar (Crow Bar, Wyndham Street), then stayed at Sky City Hotel (Jono won a voucher yonks ago for a free nights accom). Sunday morning went to brunch, then to pick up the kids, to discover the reason for Joshua having been grumpy and sick all week - juvenile measles! He was covered head to foot in a rash, which is almost gone now. Today we tried to go to Kelly Tarltons, but it was so busy the queue to get in was out the door Jono now on the drive to take his kids back to Tauranga and Joshie asleep, so time out for me Oh, and this morning I had a big sleep in - 9am!! Feeling great, and dare I say it, looking forward to my week at work!!
Hope everyone else has had a lovely time too

Pretty normal here... Saturday, yesterday afternoon and today Nat has been over at the school studying. He's got an assignment due in on Wednesday.
Kiya and Josiah have spent the first 3/4 of each morning playing well and the rest of the time arguing until I separate them, then play well together all afternoon after Josiah's sleep.
Xavier has figured out how to cruise around the furniture and this morning moved across the space between me and the coffee table!
I'm spending too much time online when I should be doing other stuff.

Quite busy here
Saturday a friend came over in the morning, then I met another woen in the afternon. Discovered that I can no longer walk the length of Sylvia Park and back again (unles you call the hobbling I was doing at the end walking!)
Sunday had a friend come over, then went to the Egypt exhibition at the museum in the afternoon (very cool!).
tody - returned the haunted dvd recorder to be fixed and did grocery shopping - so a quiet today after a busy weekend, especially now I am starting to actually feel pregnant.

Quiet one here too, Fri night Maya had a little friend over for a sleepover, Sat morning took them both to a free hip hop class at the community centre, then her friend's mum took them for the rest of the day so I came home with the gremlins and did not much.
Yesterday did the groceries and fruit and veg, then took Maya and the gremlins for a long walk.
Today stayed home, Katherine came over to talk OHbaby! then Maya's godmother came for lunch so I made a vege bake, cooked a beef casserole in the slow cooker, then took Maya to Western Springs to ride her bike around the lake. Ran into a friend there with her little girl which was cool.
Now procrastinating about folding laundry...

Saturday I took Josh for a swim while Andrew had his swimming lessons. Then had a sleep with Andrew in the afternoon just to get him to sleep. We watched all the rugby (about 5 games) on sky sport. We went to the in laws for dinner and then out to my parents after that to find out that my old high school had once again had windows broken (a family friend in the caretaker of PNGHS) and that their cat had been ran over (he ran it over by accident and killed it ). Then Saurday night I got to listen to about 20 20 something olds have a party next door, so not impressed . Sunday we went shopping for dvd's and the DH and Andrew went out to the farm and got firewood, I stacked it and put it all away. Then to the in laws for lunch. Monday I took Andrew to my parents place to collect things of mine (mum and dad are moving and finding so much of my stuff). Andrew stayed there and me and DH did a big cleanout of Andrew room.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!
