Today at the supermarket I had jsut unpacked my groceries and was dutifully putting my trolley in the trolley return, when this lady went nuts at me!!

Where you put your trolleys you have to lift the front of the trolley and then push it to get it up there, I was in the process of doing this when she came over and started going on that she would take it. This is how the conversation went

HER - I'll take that I don't want you damaging my car

ME - What do you mean

HER - Your car is your second most valuable asset and I am sick of people leaving trolleys and damaging cars.(yelling at me)

ME - Ummm what do you mean this is a trolley return and I'm returning my Trolley.

HER - No you were going to leave it half hanging out how irresponsible!( wagging her finger and yelling)

ME - Plus a few choice words which was mixed with butt out and mind your own business.

HER - Oh and you raise children with that mouth.

ME - Bite me lady and go #%*@ yourself (not my most shining moment).

With which I walked off. Next to my car there was this rather large scary Maori women complete with tatts on her face, she asked me what her problem was and said "I'd like her to try and say that to me". She returned her trolley and just left it at the front, where I was accused of leaving mine, and the woman (from a safe distance I might add) glared at her, to which she received "go on lady come and say that stuff to me I dare you". The lady in question literally ran into the mall. Leaving me having a little giggle in my car.

I never normally stand up for myself and although not proud of my language am proud that I didn't let this busy body push me around.

I might also add her car was a very old battered toyota .

What annoyed me was I always put my trolley where it's supposed to go, plus where I shop she might want to be a little more careful who she yells at as she's liable to end up in hospital with said trolley inserted in her butt! I'm guessing she thought I was an easy target and wouldn't speak back.

Good on ya! I think I would have been speechless and then thought of all the things I could have said afterwards.

Oh and next time you expect to have a row at the supermarket, can you give me the heads up? That one would have been fun to watch

Some people are so rude!
I'm another one for not speaking up and then kicking myself later.
Lol @ the big tough lady scaring her off. I love it when that kind of instant karma happens!
