Topic: Maternity Bras Posted: 08 June 2007 at 6:50pm |
OK so i bought a mat bra yesterday from farmers for $25, its a caprice brand and im a little unsure of the clips?? theyr hard to describe so maybe some of you ladies who have used this type can give a bit of advice...Do the clips (that you undo to flop your boob out for feeds) wear out from being undone all the time??? are they harder to do up one handed cos they kinda seem like they would be???...
Does anyone else have any suggestions for good Mat bras???
It was kinda hard to find one at all in my size as they all seem to be for the larger busted and im 16B (but buying 16C for safe measure!)...

I havnt really had a look. I bought myself a couple cheap bras from the warehouse and they are comfy as. Who knows how they will last though.
I got one from farmers (my best friends mum bought it for me) and they didnt have anything larger than a 16D (which is what i am now) but i have a feeling its not going to fit soon
Sorry im not much help at all lol.

the warehouse ones were pretty much the same!

Yep they are
I don't have any experience in the size department, but as far as clips go... I prefer the single clip cause I can do it up one handed (either hand). The other type where one thing goes up and the other goes down, I can't always manage that one-handed so try to avoid it.

The Hot Milk bra's look lovely, but no underwire. Was wondering if they were supportive enough given how tender breasts get and of course a bit bigger when preg.

Konagirl, they recommend no underwire as your pregnancy goes on. I think it is to do with trying not to restrict the mild ducts or something. I thought "they" were mad given how much support these girls need but I must admit I reached a point where the underwire and the bump didnt get along and for some reason they dont feel that unsupported...probably because they arenow sitting on the bump

I found a brand of maternity bra at Lingerie World called Anita. They are swedish or something like that. I am a D/E cup with b/feeding and they went up to that size. They also have 'safe' underwires. They were expensive $89.95, but I love that I no longer have to walk around with a Monoboob! Also they are really feminine. I am a complete tight 'A' as well, but figured I would get alot of wear out of these in the next year!

I love triumph, they have great reasonable priced bras, comfy and supportive (I'm a DD)I also have a nice berli one I got from bras and things. Wait till you are in late pregnancy, though.

Does anyone know what size the HotMilk range goes up to?
I have seen some fairly un-inspiring ones up at the Bendon factory shop in my size (yikes I am an F cup already....??) But they are all white and blah!! If I have to I will buy some and dye them funky colours I think.
I am also really nervous about the whole lack of underwire thing.....as you can imagine with an F cup already!
