Yep I had the same problem! Its fully nasty. One time I went to a Chemist on a sat inagony wanted some cream for it, and the shop assistant said no you will have to get permission fof your midwfie on Mon,..I burst into tears,..and in the end the sold me some! Sorry I havent got any helpful ideas. A cold flannel on the area helps the itching, and I found baths always made it feel worse cos it made the area too hot. You can get cream from the GP or midwife that you put on the outside thats safe in pregnancy, and helps a bit. You can also go the natural way, and try some probiotics from the health shop. I have no idea if its ok in pregnancy, but thats what we give Isla now cos she was getting it from being on antibiotics, and it helps her. Worth a try!

Apparently plain yoghurt containing probiotics or something similar is a natural way to go but am unsure if you will be allowed as you are suppose to put around the area, not actually eat it.

Maybe someone will know more details as I don't get thrush but am an expert on UTI's!

Just checked on internet to see and its the live yoghurt containing accophiliss (spelling is so wrong)! It says its best smothered on a tampon and inserted for 30 mins. My guess is that that is a no go due to your waters but maybe worth just covering the area to see how you go.

I had it heaps when I was preggy with Ella.
Acidopholus yogurt on a tampon helped heaps, but if you can't put anything up there maybe you could try eating a lot of it?
Also ti-tree oil in a bath really soothed the itching. We didn't have a bath at our old flat so I used to regularly turn up at my mum's place armed with my bottle of ti-tree oil, lol!
Hope it clears up for you soon chicky, it is SO uncomfortable huh!

you could try instead of putting it on a tampon putting it on a pad and just letting it soak in naturally...I know - yucky... but that along with eating yoghurt may help... also a bath with some ti tree oil in it... and it probably wouldnt help to try some cranberry juice - i know it is for UTI's but it cant hurt...clean it from the inside out maybe.??

Can you take tablets with acidophilus in them while pregnant? Ultradophilus is one that's good, 1000 colony forming units per capsule, which is a LOT of yoghurt you don't have to eat!

Don't know about it in pregnancy though, maybe someone else could help?

Ok, I'm going mad here. I saw my OB a week ago and asked him how to clear up the thrush, and he suggested Canesten cream, pessaries and eating acodophilous (sp?) yoghurt. Been doing all of that religiously for a week and if anything the thrush is worse. I've also been taking Ultradophilous capsules since Saturday AM with no success, and I've been applying yoghurt directly to the area for the last couple of days.

Help! There HAS to be something safe that'll make it go away

This might sound super weird but I used to get thursh and found something that helped was douching (sp?) with a weak soultion of vinigar and warm water. And just the 'outside' if you know what I mean.
You probably know but thrush is basicly a yeast infection so i cut out all wheat, sugar (fruit in small quanities was ok) and beer/wine. Although I don't imagine your drinking!
Loose clothing and only cotton knickers/trousers helped also.
Good luck!!
