Okay, so both of the little kids have a cold at the moment and Andrew's started leaving yellow-green snot trails around the house so I figured that I should take them down the road to see our GP - except with two kiddies sick it's going to be $30 just to have a five minute ear, nose and throat check! I've been putting off going to see the GP for blood tests to check my iron levels because they'll charge me $65 for the two minute ticking a box pleasure. So, after whinging to Mum, she told me to take them over to the clinic she goes to in Henderson. Wahoo - kids free, adults $5. So for a complete check-up of the three of us, $5. Even with the petrol driving to Lincoln Rd, I figure I've saved $80. AND the Dr we saw is not only a GP, but a trained and registered paediatrician that works part time at the Starship kiddies hospital. Sunset Rd Family Drs, as nice as they are, may have lost access to my EFTPOS card for good.

Oh - and they have a full-time nutritionalist, asthma nurse, diabetes nurse (not that I ever want her help fingers crossed) and two female doctors on staff.

Pasifika Healthcare - Lincoln Rd Henderson... Dr George Aho is the paediatrician (don't need to be PI to go there, and those rates were without a Community Services Card, because we don't qualify for one). The other doctors are really good too :o) (and they do blood tests and ecg's etc there so you don't have to go to a medlab)
