Topic: Getting fit motivation Posted: 19 June 2007 at 8:29pm |
Well, I need motivation (OK, a BIG kick up the b*tt) to get fit.
Who wants to be my bossy boots 'trainer'?? and does anyone want to join me?
I play netball once a week and thats about it... I just can't be bothered doing anything else. There's a vibra-train studio about 5 mins away so I was thinking of doing that once a week then trying to do fitness things at home (skipping, walking/running etc) because I can't afford a gym membership.

We could keep each other up to date with what we do each day? Get each other motivated

I need a kick up the whosey-whatsit too. Fiona dragged me out and around Cornwall park yesterday, but I have no self-motivation, it's easier to stay home and wallow

I will endeavour to get in some time on the air walker, even tho I hate it, coz am having coffee with Kellz and Fiona so won't have time for a walk.

A stupid thing that is kinda like a crosstrainer but not on tracks if that makes sense. We used to have an exercycle but my dumb ass DP swapped it with his mate for the airwalker, supposedly for a month, but it's now been three...

thats my only contribution to getting motivated sorry.

That sounds good. I would definitley be in for a walk:) I used to do Aquarobics in Glenfield but it is too far away from home now and the hibiscus coast one costs $7.50 for 45 minutes - what a rip off!

Im in. I do skipping at home. Im more buggered after doing that for a few minutes than if i go for a 30minute walk. Hubby and I make ourselves do 100 skips each ad break for the length of a programm. Must admit though Ive been a bit slack with it and my eating is terrible at the moment.

I had the best intentions paid $$$s for an exercise dvd and MADE myself do a 4km walk on my Fridays off and do a yoga class on Mondays
But due to various reasons (read EXCUSES ) I've done no exercise at all for over a week I just can't seem to fit in exercise and time with Caitlin at the mo! Any ideas ladies?
I get home at 5.30-6pm, play time then bath time for bubs, cook dinner, put bubs to bed, do dishes, relax for 10 minutes LOL then bed and do it all again the next day

What time are you up in the mornings? Can you do something first thing? Or get up a little earlier?

I guess it's too cold to pop Caitlin the stroller and go for a walk. What time do you go to work in the mornings? Can you take stairs instead of lift at work etc?

I already get up at 5.30am, get myself ready, then get Caitlin ready to go to Mum's, drop Caitlin off at Mum's and have to be in work by 8am. So that's not really an option.
We're no where near public transport at work and of course it's a single level building LOL
I used to take Caitlin on my Friday walks, all wrapped up toasty but I've just been SO BUSY
