fight lots and always get on each others wick???  For the last few months, the twins (Aged 8, boys) have been driving me totally batty, as well as DH.  All they do is fight, fight and fight.

I have really enjoy this past week, as Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday they stayed at their mothers place, then Christian decided he wanted to come home, so he stayed here on Wednesday, Thursday and some of Friday.  Ethan then decided they wanted to change over.  Ethan stayed at my parents on Friday night.  Ethan came home Saturday night, and Christian stayed at his mothers, then they are now both home.  Home 5 minutes and boommmmmmm off they go.

What can I do?  DH and I spend one on one time, time together with them, time with Harlan and the twins, I am LOST!!!!

My friend used to fight with his brother all the time, his parents enrolled them both in karate classes, they figured if they were going to fight each other better in a controlled environment. They get on great now as adults, may be something to try.

I sympathise with you I really do. Micheal and Jayden are like that and there's five years between them. We now mostly ignore them (Unless it's really out of control and someone is getting hurt). We figure they need to learn to sort it out themselves, otherwise we spend all day telling them off.

I swear when you have children they should give you a whistle so you can referee properly.

Sorry I can't be much help other than saying my brothers, sisters and I used to fight all the time and they will mostly gorw out of it hopefully!

Hang in there!!

maybe they need some rules and guidelines on what is acceptable and not with regards to fighting and horseplay.

My kids fight far too much as well. I never thought I would have such a prob with them being 5yrs apart but how wrong I was. I just try and let them sort it out unless out of control then I step in. When Im tired of just irritable I put them in their own rooms so I doint have to listen to it. I find the school holiday are worse b'cos they get sick of each other faster. If I give them incentives to be good ie: getting to do painting if they good and clean their rooms, do their chores etc they def band together to help each other.

JD - Come to ChCh and help me!!! LOL - What a good idea.  I will see if that works.  I am going into work for our annual meeting tomorrow so mum has them all day - hehehe.  Hope they will be ok.  I am sure they will as she is a social worker and knows how to control them...
