Topic: What colour to paint? Posted: 08 July 2007 at 6:38pm |
We (DH & I) are deciding what colour to paint miss lucy's new room, before baby number 2 arrives. I have got the resene kids colour chart, and have some ideas of that, I want a lavendar purpley colour, or a bit of pink, but then again not sure. Has anyone got any ideas of colours?

Rachel, what about purple at the top and pink at the bottom and a "freeze" (probably not spelt like that LOL) to join them together?

i would go for something very pale, too bright might not be very restful.
or how bout a cream or off white with a nice frieze - or maybe a two tone effect - like this.

I love the pink and purple fairy room
I like Caitlin's room the way it is, beige walls with white border with 3 tones of brown teddies. Nice and cosy feeling.

I'm at work at the moment, and have a colour chart in front of me. There's a really nice colour called "groovey baby" it's a Taubman's colour though, there is another one called "joyful spirit" but that's quite dark. Also another called "French Mauve" which is probably the more subtle between the other two. Personally I like the "french mauve" with white skirtings etc.

Resene has great colours! I painted our spare room in Ohh La La (purple feature wall) and Confederate Grey (light purple colour). looks really cute and really restful as have it with muslin curtains and the cane roll down blind.
