Topic: Full body length pregnancy pillows Posted: 28 July 2010 at 12:46pm |
Just wondering if anyone has used these for sleeping? I've started to get really uncomfortable at night and have a nagging back pain most evenings. The pregnancy pillows I've found online are about $80 so I am reluctant to buy without knowing if they are any good. Wondering whether I just try putting a pillow between my legs?

try putting a pillow between your legs first. Then look at maybe a cuddle buddy I loved mine!

I prefer a normal pillow between my legs at the moment but I did also get a full body pillow at spotlight for only $30

I had a full body pillow too but it was too hot to use in the height of summer. Pillow between the knees was great!

I have one. I had a normal pillow between my legs to begin with but aroun 30 weeks it's was really hard on my hips and back so I got one in a spotlight for like $20 plus $6 for a pillowcase. I really liked it. DH would try to steal it.

I have one, and I loooooove it. It makes the world of difference to how comfortable I feel. Mine's been christened William - DH says he's the 'other man' I snuggle all night.

Mines called Orlando, tbh I wasn't that impressed so I've just turned it into a bolster (much firmer and shorter) which I love. He does tend to steal the duvet though.

Hopefully this does the trick Frankie, gosh I didn't think we would be feeling it this early on. I've had a weird pain in my shoulder (might be tension related though) and have noticed my sciatic (sp?)nerve already playing up. I'm such a wriggler in bed and find I hurt my tummy muscles or ligaments, some times it feels like I've just about ripped something. Still wouldn't change it for the world to get this little special bubba at the end of it all. (she say's that now) LOL!!

I had pillows galore stuff between my legs and under hips etc but didn't really help like MIL said it would. My mum had a pregnancy pillow but gave it to a friend who was having twins. Anyway she found it great. I wish I had got one!!
I saw some on TM under the baby section, can't remember the price thought sorry, but the $30 Spotlight one sounds great!

The one I got today is a long narrow pillow, maybe about a metre long and 20 cms wide). I got mine from Spotlight Manukau in the pillow section, and the pillow is folded in half its packaging.

In the link Nic posted the spotlight ones are like the pic under "simple". Just a long cylindrical pillow.

I bought one and hated it. It was like a 3rd person in bed with us, it was horrible and huge. So I just ended up using a normal pillow between my legs and still do now.
Albeit, the big pregnancy pillow does get used as a prop pillow for my back and shoulders while Im BF'ing Jackson on our bed, so I guess its had its moneys worth.

I had a full length one and hated it, I sued a tri pillow and some other pillows. Cuddle buddies are awesome too!! I have 2 and used them for breastfeeding also.
