If you want to be sure that the skincare you put on your baby is without any synthetic preservatives or chemicals you should use products which carry the BDIH seal. BDIH is an indepent organisation which verifies that natural and organic products are without any chemical or synthetic ingredients. The recent cosumer magazine reveals that nearly all so-called natural and organic products available in NZ contain synthetic preservatives (for example trilogy) and other potentially harmful stuff - expect those with the BDIH seal of approval.
I have some Mahu products here that don't have the banned ingredient iodopropynyl butylcarbamate referred to in the article...so just make sure you check the label.
The products they are referring to were supposed to be removed from sale in 2008 but some old stock is still showing up...
