Topic: When will be able to wear jeans?! Posted: 22 August 2011 at 11:09am |
I had DS2 by emergency c-section 4 weeks ago and am starting to feel heaps better and stronger... but when will it be comfortable to wear anything other than trackpants? Will my abdomen always be uncomfortable?
I put my jeans on yesterday and took them straight off - so uncomfortable. Not so much where my incision is but above it my muscles are still tender.

Was back in my pre-preg jeans at about 3 months, but mine do up around the waist rather than hips cos the 'pouch' at the front means i end up with jeans 1-2 sizes bigger than my norm if I get hipster jeans

It was too warm for jeans after DS was born, but it did take me a while to be able to wear anything slightly fitted around the hips. They fit ok but were really uncomfy. Took a few months from memory.

I was back in jeans about 7 weeks after my section but they were uncomfortable for a while. Mostly due to the numbness around the scar rubbing against the fabric. It does get better though

My tum hurt half way between my belly button and the scar line. I wore preggy jeans/pants for 8-10wks, Im a sewer so had altered most of my normal jeans/pants for a styler fit than the huge stretchy fabrics of brought ones, so it didnt bother me.
maybe go to savemart/2nd hand store buy a couple of jeans that are a size up than your pre/preggy thats what I also did too. even thou my tummy went flat quite quick, like you say it was tender. time will hell. Better to be tender at the front, than tender in the VJ

I have started to wear mine now after 6 months - but that is due to gaining crap loads of weight lol. I remember being more comfy in underwear and clothes after about 6-8 weeks.

I'm at 7 months, and have had to change to a higher cut jean. My scar is itchy and uncomfortable as hell when firm things rub against it! I got out of my ugly UGLY haram shorts my sister bought me at about 2 months.. thank GOONESS!

I think it depends on how big you are as well. 15 months later and I STILL have a tender tummy. I can wear jeans, but they have to be loose ones.

I think it will vary from person to person....I have been wearing mine since about 1 week post section. The skin is numb and tender at times but not too bad.
