Ok so ellas cord fell off at 6 days old, but ever since then its been oozing, i was told by the plunket nurse on tuesday to put salt on it half an hour before i bath her for 3 days and i did that last night but now its oozing with a little blood in it. I have called plunketline but they are busy, dont know when they will get back to me.

Did anyone else experience this?

That doesn't sound good Jess. Maybe you should pop in to the dr's to get it checked out??

yep. Lissy had this and i ended up getting it burnt at the doctors (not as bad as it sounds). My midwife reccommended using the curash powder to dry it out. Didnt work for us but lots of ppl have had success with it.

On this note.....Blakes has kind of folded shut and I dont know whether to sort of open it and get some water in there???? or is that what they are like???? paiges was quite tight and i dont remember it looking like this one deos?

Im sorry i have no idea... i found if it oozes adding water like having a bath made it ooze more afterwards.
