Does anyone remember Sylvanian families? I loved them when I was a kid, and I only just remembered that they existed!
Are they still sold in toy stores? And what age group are they for?
I'm tempted to get some for myself to play with

Toyworld have them and sometimes Pack n Save have some of the animal figures real cheap! Toyworld do 20 or 30% off them quite abit too.
My DD got the cottage for her birthday last year when she was 2, which was ok as it comes empty, but most of the furniture etc has really little pieces so I've put half of that stuff away. My DD is 3 in March and just loves it now, even though apparently they dont really start to play with it until about 6 or 7! It does say for ages 4+ on the boxes.
It is gorgeous stuff, we got DD some more of it for xmas and her birthday!

I used to love these little guys! I think I had the mice...or were they rabbits? I can't remember but I remember how cool they were.

Toyworld, huh? Might have to go have a nosey... purely for Chloe of course, lol.
I had a little family of bears but my friend had about 6 different families and heaps of furniture and little houses and a bus and stuff... it was awesome! We used to play with them every time I went over there, which was often. Ahhh... those were the days
I've just been having a look at some of them online, there is so much cool stuff... they are so cute with all their accessories! I can't wait till Chloe is old enough to play with them

I was also going to suggest Toyworld...they usually have all the houses etc as well....they are best for older kids though...all those small pieces. *sigh*

Oh yes, I loved Sylvanians and had a whole collection (houses, families, furniture etc) from when I was a wee lass that I gave away not too long ago... but it was before I got together with my current beau not knowing that he had a daughter who would LOVE them Gutted I gave them away..
I believe they are aimed at kids aged between 5 & 12 years old ish.... who still like playing 'house' ya know?

They also have them at new world (well my local does lol)....
I think they are quite tiny, so wouldn't be suitable for an under 3 I imagine.

If you started collecting them now (for yourself more than Chloe, since she's so little), she'd have a lovely collection to play with when she's a bit older

I like the way you think, Hopes
Yeah I remembered they had tiny bits, like baby bottles and other teeny tiny things... I am so excited that I remembered that they existed

Oooh I loved Sylvanian families! I had the mice and the "town" house. My friend had the bears and I wa jealous coz they were cuter. I think I was about 6 or 7 when they were really big? That's around the time when I got a Sylvanian families video for Christmas too - one of them was about a fair, can't remember the story line though!
