POST TRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER FOLLOWING CHILDBIRTH

Hi there, as one of the founders of TABS - Trauma And Birth Stress, we just want people to know that some times pregnancy, labour, birth and events during the early post natal period can cause or re-ignite existing trauma. If you are constantly thinking about a negative or life threatening event(s) for yourself or baby, or have become highly anxious, become socially withdrawn, may be developing panic attacks, then know that this is not your fault and that you are not alone. You I]may
be suffering ptsd. Know that there are others NZ mothers who have suffered this and largely recovered. We are volunteers, visit our website to learn more. www.tabs.org.nz I have recovered and celebrate life and refuse to allow a trauma to dominant or destroy my life and the journey to recover was worth the effort and pain! There is hope.

Regards

Sue
