i dont know why he is buying her bread...that is nuts!!!

she gets paid - if she cant budget then refer her onto a budgetting service or suggest that she meet with wnz to see if she is eligible for any top ups? she might be so embarrassed by referral to budgeter that she will leave??? maybe.....

Snap what BS said.
If she's in paid employment why can't she afford to feed herself.

I once heard sage advice that if someone is in financial difficulty, buy them the loaf of bread instead of giving out the money. But anyhow.... most of that is all sorted but I say no more bread for her! It was just to see her through these couple of weeks or something. Budget advice sounds like a good plan.

And maybe tomorrow flick Katherine a PM and get this thread deleted if that's what you wanna do

Just remember you need written consent to make a deduction from someones wages.

McDonalds fire people for helping themselves to a burger. You get one warning then its serious misconduct - instant dismissal.

I'd be insisting that she see a budget advisor (even if it's during work time - so she has no excuse for not going) because her home finances have begun to impact on her employment (and because she needs the advice!), and referring her to a foodbank as a one-off if need be.  Talk about awkward!
