Commando Crawler
my son 7 1/2 months has been commando crawling since 6 months.
he constantly starts off on his hands and knees then in to "the plank" position (hands and toes, bum in air) he tries to move his arms but the legs won't co-operate.
is there anything i can do to help him get co-ordinated for crawling properly, he is getting so frustrated!

He will crawl when he is ready Sorry i know that is no help.
My DD commando crawled from 6 months also. She didnt start crawling properly until 11 months.
Heaps of babies dont crawl properly, some dont crawl at all. I wouldnt be too concerned.

My son commando crawled from 7 months and has only in the last 2 months starting crawling "properly". He is super fast now and not far from walking. They get there in the end....

Luke was a master commando crawler, whilst Zavier crawled normally. it took him a few months before magically one day he decided to show off to visitors that he could crawl normally like zavier. He did use to get frustrated, but nothing we did helped, so it's just a case of time
Apparently some children do just commando crawl, then start walking.
Good luck!

DD comando crawled almost right up to when she started walking. From 8 months to 12 months and she started walking a week after her first birthday.

#1 Cammando from 5.5 months, crawled on all ours at 10.5 months, walked at 11.5 months. He only crawled on all fours because we went to Bali and the concrete was too hot and scrathy to drag his belly along.
#2 Cammanno from 5.5 months, walking at 10.5 months.
