Well DH and I just had our first Fertility Assoc appointment this morning...

They were really lovely and Dr. Fisher is so nice and funny!
I felt like a little kid in the waiting room as most of the people around me were prob double my age! Eek! That made me feel a bit nervous...

I had an ultrasound and he said everything looked ok, showed me a follicle that is was almost ready to ovulate (should be ovulating on Fri) so that was cool to see .

He looked at DH's semen results and has requested he get another, more comprehensive test done but seemed positive. He said although the motility wasn't in the normal range, DH still had 'a lot to work with' so to speak!

So I'm feeling really positive.... Just need to wait for AF so I can get some tests done and our next appt in in a month to talk about next steps....

Im so imp[atient thougha nd want everythign to happen NOW of course! Ha!

Hey Parki, thats great news that things are starting to happen, but yeah it does all move quiet slowly sometimes a But at least things are beginning.

We went for our appointment at FA in Ham on Tuesday and we start a round of IUI in about 2-3 weeks, next cycle basically. So am quiet excited about that, we have to take clomid and then lots of blood tests & scans and possibly a trigger injection of some sort just depends on what the blood tests tell them.

We will do probably two if the first one isn't successful and then take a break over calving (dairy farmers) and then reassess later in October. But fingers crossed it works first time that would be fab.

Found out at appointment that DH's total sperm count was normal but the motility was slightly below average. We have got the menevit vitamins to try and help with this. Sounds like our DH's are similar in their results and the results can be so variable especially if there has been illness or stress etc..

Anyway goodluck, will be watching this space for your BFP lol and mine

Hi Parki, we have also recently seen a specialist too. DH's sperm seem to be fine but we are waiting for the comprehensive test results, apparently they take about a week and a half. They have not found any problems with me. I had my HSG (Hysterosalpingogram) which was fine too. I just started my first cycle on clomid and monitoring. I have my first scan tomorrow which I am looking forward to. We have been trying for about 15/16 months now.

Thanks ladies.

Hey Peachy! It's been awhile! Can't believe your little lady is 1 & a half! Wow, times flies!

Appy2 - Sounds like we are in a really similar position! Good luck with your IUI, I will be crossing my fingers for you!

We didn't discuss any treatment options at the appointment, I think he wants to wait until he has all our test results to make a decision. I just want to hurry up! I am ovulating today so will jump DH when I get home

Found out this morning my best friend is pregnant with her second baby in the time we have been trying for one.... I'm so so so excited for her with the tiniest twinge of Grrr in there. (Is that allowed? I feel horrible!)

Good luck to all of you who are going through appointments or treatments or even just the emotional cr*p that all this stuff throws at you, we will all get our BFPs soon!

*Wonder how long my positivity will last!?
