Topic: Feeling down about TTC Posted: 23 March 2010 at 10:11pm |
Hi all...
Wasn't sure where to put this, but just felt like venting a bit...
We are coming up 3 years TTC next month and over the last couple of days it's really hit me and am feeling really down about it.
Had a bit of hope last week when I thought we got our BFP but it turned out to just be a BFN...
I have about another 12 or so kgs left to lose to be the right BMI for us to be put on the waiting list for IVF... which is another years wait.
Just seems like it's going to be never ending!

I hope it comes to an end soon too, I'm over the waiting! lol. I felt so much better last night after posting that - haven't even told DP how I'm feeling, he's got so much going on at the mo.

Awww hugs Wishin, I think from memory we were in the ttc threads for a while, I normally hang out in the clomid pill poppers section now. It is such a roller coaster of emotions. I saw your thread about implantation bleeding and thought you'd wandered off to the due threads, I am really sorry to hear it didn't turn out positively. I had such high hopes for you, I really hope you manage to get your bfp before you have to go down the IVF route.
I think DP's /Dh's can't walk in our shoes either, they share the journey but we are the ones that make sure we BD at O time and then have the excruitiating 2ww.
Hugs hun and feel free to vent any time, some times we just need a good rant and there's no better place for it.

Sorry Wishin to hear you're feelin down about things right now. A lot of us girls in the CPP thread are feeling exactly the same right now, maybe it's a combination of the TTC journey and coming into a cold yukky winter or something. We just got to the 18months mark with TTC and it was too much for me as well - I had a big rant to my CPP girls the other day and it helped - it's good to get it off your chest sometimes.
I guess all we can do is try our best to stay positive and pray that someday we'll have our precious little bubbas

Big wishin41. As the girls have said, this is not an easy journey and a few of us have been going through a tough time with it all recently.
It is great you are getting it off your chest hun as that really does help.
We are all here if you need someone to vent to ok. Take care sweetie and try to keep that chin up but also remember to let it all out when you need to

hi wishin41,
were you on Treasures also? I'm in the same situation, TTC our first for 4 years... every day is different, some days i cry, other's i don't give a sh$t anymore and think of the positives of not getting that elusive BFP.

Hey anglemouse hang in there. We were also trying for four years and it is a really long time.....No one should have to go thru this. And it is really hard to just turn off since wanting to have a child is inbuilt in us women. All the best and I really hope your get your BFP...

thank you kobec, i thought i'd got through the grieving a few months ago but not really, like you say it's always there. and you think perhaps this month will be different but it's not. i've heard it all - "relax and it'll happen", "as soon as you give up it'll happen", "go on a holiday". i've done it all and never changed the outcome. i'm trying to stay positive but, well you know how hard that is. we'll finally qualify for ivf in a year, then another year on the waiting list. i'll be 38

Thanks for all the support ladies
Sorry I haven't popped back in sooner.
Feeling ok now, had a big chat with DP about TTC last night and how he feels now the 3 year mark has been hit. He didn't say much, I get the impression he doesn't want to think about it too much so prefers just to coast along, so all good... I'm ok with that. Got to remove yaself from it somehow so it doesn't get too much aye.
Hey AM! Yeah I was on treasures a couple of years ago. Your username definitely rings a bell and I know we've talked before it's just not all clicking at the same time lol.
The waiting sucks!
