DD2 decided that yesterday was a good day to try and learn to crawl. I had her sitting on a mattress on the driveway while I did some weeding, her older sister was sitting with her playing. DD1 looked away for 2 seconds and Lilah decided she was going to try and crawl! She launched herself off the mattress and scraped her nose on the exposed aggregate!!!
Does anyone have any advice about what the best thing would be to put on it to a) help it heal and b) prevent grazing?
TIA

ARGH sorry the pic is so big!!!

Ouch! Poor chica.

That will heal really fast though and is better off dry so I'd tend to leave it. Some people might suggest arnica cream though?

ouch poor wee poppet!

Bepathen is breathable and often good or I use lucas paw paw ointment and find it fab!
Arnica is brilliant but you cant use it on open skin, so no good for her nose at the mo. I agree though it will heal quickly and make sure you let the air get to it aswell

i second the bepanthan. good to get any germs out but after applying it a few times I'd just leave it to heal naturally.

Poor girl must be sore but shouldn't take too long to heal

id leave it but the i put honey on my kids scrapes and scratches. helps with the healing and also means if they get it on their hands and then put their hands in their mouth no harm done ;)

It is better to cover it with something and keep it moist (if possible) rather than let it heal by drying out in terms of the wound healing. I cant think of the name of anything off the top of my head but if you ask at the pharmacy they should be able to help you out.

iodine based ointment would be best, but then you can just leave it. my son grazed his face about two weeks ago, falling off his scooter down a hill. we put some betadine on it, on day one. 14 days later he has not a scar. His graze was pretty bad and in fact we took him to the doctor to check for a skull fracture.

poor bub!
