I am just wondering if any of you got the Dvd's or CD's and if you found them good or not, and if good which ones you got.
TIA

Ella loves animals so I bought her the World Animals one. Also we hired Neighbourhood Animals from the library quite a few times and she loved that too. I found this woman on trademe who would buy a pack of 10 or however many and split them up, so you only paid $10 for a CD.

We have the Baby Einstein Lullabies CD and also a good one to go to sleep to, goes on in Erin's room at every nap time and then at night time for her big sleep.

Hannah has always loved the neighbourhood animals one, and we have borrowed the world animals one a lot too! Shes not so into the other ones though, only really likes the animal ones. From when she was a tiny baby until about 10 months when she started moving she would happily sit and watch for 30 minutes - I used to put it on while I had a shower!!

Yeah I found that too Aimee, Ella was never interested in the others either.. I found them a bit boring too, to be honest! But she didn't start watching them until she was 1.

I know Ang has them and Ella loved them...
I saw the World Animals one at the P and C show and thought about getting it for Maya coz she loves polar bears but never quite got there.
We have a $6.99 lullabies CD from the good old Warewhare and the gremlins seem to like it.

I've also got the whole boxed set (about 20 DVDs, I think). To be honest, I wish I had only bought a few of them, instead of being greedy and thinking that I needed them ALL. Some of them are just boring as and don't hold Em's attention at all. Some of them are cute. For all of them, I sit there thinking, "I could get DH's video camera and make something like this myself." They are really simplistic -- apparently the founder made the first one in her basement with her child's toys and puppets, and unfortunately, some of them don't look like they are much beyond that standard.
I'd recommend hiring them from the library or video store and trying them out before you spend the $30 to buy them individually. That way you'll know which ones are the "goodies" and which ones aren't that great.

I'm looking at buying some or all of the Baby Einstein dvds. I'm not sure whether to buy some of them from the shops at almost $40 each OR get the whole set from Trade me for $180 - there are quite a few for sale. My question is - do you think at least 5 of the set are worth buying or not?
Thanks

I would say that if you have the cash -they ARE worthit. they were the only thing that distracted Jake from the fact that his grandmother was being taken away by ambulance...thats some good tv.
