Hi there, I was wondering how many of you use the Phil and Ted Bebe capsule for their newborns? I am tossing up between getting one of these as they are so light or a capsule with a base. any thoughts???

I would definitely recommend you try this seat in your car before you buy it :) Some seatbelts in some cars just aren't long enough to be threaded across the bottom of the seat, and then with the shoulder part of the belt threaded right around the back. This is the only way these capsules can be installed and as above, some seatbelts just aren't long enough.
If you travel a lot in all kinds of different cars this might not be the seat for you. Keep in mind every time you put the seat back in to the car you'll need to re-thread the seat belt every time.
Infant seats with bases can be installed in almost any car (I say almost, because for sure there are to be cars that it wont fit in). They're also more likely to be used correctly (since you don't have to re-thread the belt). At the end of the day though it's mostly just a car/seat compatibility and ease of use issue. Either way, if the seat is correctly installed and used - they're sure to be safe!
