Number two is on the way and I'm wanting to get a double buggy/pram.
I don't love the ones where the toddler sits in the back, how boring is that??
Any suggestions? Size, weight, easy to fold etc?
I have a Maclaren Twin Traveller Double Buggy. Haven't used it with a newborn yet tho, only two toddlers (bought for my homecarer to use with their kid). Its an umbrella fold job, and both seats recline (tho not sure its 100% flat. Its light weight, reasonably easy to fold, however I'm quite short and find the handles are a bit high so I feel like I'm walking with my arms up hill.
We looked at a valco one, but it was so much heavier, and didn't like the thought of lifting it in and out of the car.
we currently have the valco one , but before #2 comes along we will be getting a new pram (see my thread somewhere recently in the product review section) as I don't like how the sunshade doesn't cover the toddler on the valco.
The side by side doubles are a bit off-putting for me because of their width, it would mean leaving the kids at the shop door etc which I'm not overly keen on. Also, where we live the footpaths can be a bit marginal so a side-by-side might be too wide anyway.
Mountain buggy are bringing out a new double called the plus one, it looks quite good - although it is inline, the toddler and baby can both see out of the front, so not too boring for either. its due out early sept, so it might be worth checking out.
My side by side double buggy fits through all standard size doors...even though I very often think I am not going to make it!! It is a babyjogger city mini double.
Thanks so much for your replies! I think I'm gonna go for an inline pram - and have kinda narrowed it down to a Phil & Teds or maybe the new Mountain Buggy +one. So much $$ though, don't wanna get it wrong!
