Hi - we have baby no. 2 due in 5 weeks and then will have an 18 month old and a newborn. Am um-ing and ah-ing btwn the Baby Jogger City Select and the double Mountain Buggy, but also maybe the BJ City Mini Double - cause it's lighter and less bulky than the MB. Any comments? I love our current single MB, but fear the bulk and weight of the Double, plus wonder how the width would go around town etc...?? Also when baby no.1 decided want to go in the pram you're stuck w a double side by side...
The BJCS has lots of combos, so v versatile and is lighter but also very expensive. One thing I really don't like about the BJCS is there are no sun shades - I tried pulling the hood far down over my toddler in the shop and she was unimpressed at having her view obstructed!! Also, the hood wouldn't shade the rest of her body... Anyone w the BJCS who can comment on this??
Anyone w the Duo MB - do you get used to the weight and bulk when getting it in and out of the car?
Thanks heaps

re the BJCS I have also read some reviews where people have had to get lots of repairs done... Also that there is not a great deal of height room available for older toddlers, and that the basket underneath is pretty small when using it as a double...? I am also wondering if there are any issues w balance if only one child is in the buggy - eg when toddler wants to walk, or if you are getting one child out does have to be done in a particular order so buggy doesn't topple? (have heard that can be a prob w Phil and Teds)
Feedback?

We have the Mountain Buggy Duo. It's big. It's not too heavy for lifting in and out of the car but it's awkward. To be honest I would rather walk miles further than drive and load/unload the buggy.

It fits through most doors, some are a tight squeeze and I discovered this week that it doesn't fit through some of the checkouts at my local New World.

I also avoid certain shops because their setup isn't duo buggy friendly!

That said, it's so easy to manouvere, the parcel tray is a good size, the girls love it, DH loves it and it meets our needs.

BUT if the Baby Jogger City Select had been around when we bought the MB Duo, I would have gone with that for sure!
That's stupid about the sunshades though.

MB are bringing out a +one 'soon'...might be worth emailing them to see whether it's likely to be here by the time you need it if you're keen on the MB Duo but don't like the width??

Looks quite good -

You can get sunshades for the city select. The good thing about the pram is that it doesn't always have to be a double so if you have only one child with you you just put 1 seat on!! I love it and love all the different combinations. As for the basket it's really big and got lots of room. Oh and the sunshades are $60 each.

Thanks v much for feedback.
We have finally ordered a City Select after, sadly, deciding the MB was too heavy, and bulky in the car. Limochick - which shades do you have - the Protect a Bub 3-in-1?
Thanks again

I don't actually have the sunshades I just asked the lady from baby on the move whether you could get them or not, I'll probably get them next summer.
