My phone is in the process of dying so I need to get a new one.

Just wondering what phones you all have & whether you'd recommend them or not?

I was keen on the Nokia 2630 but the man in the shop told me yesterday that he'd had lots returned to him because it doesn't have a memory card & therefore doesn't hold many pxts, texts etc . I only want to text, call & send the occassional pxt.

I don't really want to pay too much for a phone with features that I won't use.

have a Nokia, slide phone, xpress music one, dont know what model, but I only got it a few months ago, its red and black and really good.
It comes with a memory card, but I got a different one for it with heaps of space cos I take lots of pics on my phone of caden lol and use the video a lot.

It was $600 lol eeek, thank god for HP...

PS-I find Nokia has the best reception!

I am on Telecom and have an Okta Mondo (a 2nd hand one at the moment as my original phone went missing). I love it, you can do so much with it. The main reason I got it was so I could take it overseas as it was (at the time) 1 or 2 phones that had Telecom global roaming.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

Sounds to me like he was just trying to upsell you. Honestly it seems to me these days that they try to sell you things that you don't generally need on a cell phone. Or sometimes, they just talk out their ar&*s haha! (apologies to any phone sales people)

I think ohanlon meant that she has the nokia 2630! If all you want to do is text and send the occasional pixt then why would you need a memory card?

I have an old as crappy sharp thing which is by no means fancy and it doesn't have a memory card but it texts and pixts and takes videos and all that! I just have to delete texts every so often but who wants to keep all the texts anyway?

I have the same as sarahbetha - the sony ericsson walkman one. I find it really good and easy to use. And it was free - even better! If you don't mind signing up to a contract you might be able to find a free phone somewhere (got mine from noel leeming I think).
