Does anyone know approx how much you would pay in Palmerston North for a rental property of very good standard, 2/3 bedrooms, and quite central?

Its been a while since I rented, but I'd think $300/week would get you a pretty nice one? We last paid $180/week for a 2 bedroom flat in a nice suburb. It was clean and tidy, but not new. It was awfully damp though. That was in 2005 I think.

Just had a quick look on TM - seems there are a few going in the $200-$300 range that would be ok.

Are you going to move here?

Yeah, a good two bedroom home is about the $230/240 mark. Often it is better to just go for  a three bedroom which are about $260 + for decent ones.

There is quite a choice out there at the moment.

Hell no

A colleague has a friend overseas who has a job opportunity and wondered what sort of rental cost she would be looking at. I said I'd pop on here and ask you helpful ladies, so thanks very much for that!!

Dunno at the mo.....entirely depends on work.

Interesting reading this, we used to pay $200 for a 3 bedroom bedroom in Morris Street, $200 for a 3 bedroom in Bourke street, $180 for a 2 bedroom in Shamrock street.

Bourke street was the last place & that was 8 years ago.

My house is just around the corner from Liz's and we charge $240 a week for ours. I want to charge more so we will see in a few months.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!
