    Posted: 15 February 2011 at 9:32am
Just wondered whether anyone had a Radian fitted in a 2004 Holden Astra hatchback? Is there still plenty of room for the front seat passenger?

I'm keen to get one from an online retailer as I'd have to drive for miles to a retailer where I could try it in the car first!

Sorry can't help with a astra, but the Radian XTSL didn't fit in my subaru station wagon rear facing for a newbourn. It needed at least 25cm from the edge of the backseat to the the front seat (the closest part, which for me is the top as I have it on a slight lean). Note the seat reached about 38 cm high relative to the base of the back seat. While I could drive 5ft2, DH had no chance.

Hope thats of some help.

Thanks for that. I'll get out the tape measure!

Not sure if you have tried the brio, but it needs more space than that.

Just thought I'd update this in case anyone reads the thread in future...

I've just installed the Radian in the car and it's a tight squeeze but it does fit! Yay! I'm 5'3" and I have just enough leg room in the front passenger seat...don't think my 5'11" DP would have any chance, but when we travel together in the Astra he drives anyway. I absolutely love it which are strong words for a carseat but it seriously is awesome! (as lots of you already know!)
