Can anyone recommend warm boots or slippers for an eight-month old baby? Need something that will stay on her feet.

My daughter keeps kicking her socks and shoes off. The current solution is to put her in footed pants but would like to her some warm ugg-boot type footwear.

Got anyone that can knit some booties that go halfway up the calf, way harder to get off.

These ones here from Ecomoon are great. An old lady knits them locally and gets them sold through the store. They have a leather sole and are made of good thick wool. So far they havent come off DD at all (unless she pulls the cords out in the carseat).

I made some fleecy ones in a style like the leather soft sole bobox ones. They never came off even when DD pulled them!

I use Lamington socks - they are merino and really long and alot harder for bubs to kick/pull off.

Eve wallace ones stay on feet at our house. My DD doesn't keep ANY socks on without a shoe or slipper - even the lamingtons!!

We also have Lamingtons here and they are very difficult to get off. One of my girls usually manages to have one halfway down but her foot is still covered.

There are a few online stores that sell them. www.thesleepstore.co.nz is where I have gotten mine from usually if I have brought something else to save on postage or www.lamington.co.nz. Most places sell them for approx $14 a pair. They are very funky.

The Lamington.co.nz site has a list of stockists. It's worth checking them as the prices vary

thanks everyone. I ordered some lamingtons from the sleepstore and they turned up yesterday. My little girl is wearing them today. They come up to her cute little knees and so far she hasn't pulled them off!

those booties look delicous amalyse, if my DD wasn't such a big foot i'd be ordering them!

they say that the Nature Baby slippers don't come off, but don't believe them- they do.

there is a lovely lady in Tauranga who has a facebook page Owl and Hedgehog and she makes really cute little shoes, now these don't come off, I can vouch for that- the best buy i've ever made as far as shoes/socks/slippers/booties go!!
