I have been offered a nice car seat for $50. Thing is, I might not need it for long, like 4 months, before we move to Aussie for a while. So I'm trying to find out if it would be cheaper to hire. I need to decide if I want the car seat today and the Plunket hire places are closed.

Appearantly it's a different price depending on where you live. We are in Nelson. Does anyone have any idea on cost?

It would probably be cheaper for you to take the one you've been offered. Is it brand new or used? Check it out and make sure it's safe.

It's used but it's a 2002 model and looks really good. Ok, I've made up my mind, I'm getting it! Thanks for your advice

Just check the expiry date, if it's a capsule some only last for 6 years. The exp should be stamped on the bottom of it.
