Topic: Phil and Teds Dash Posted: 26 February 2010 at 3:31pm |
Hi
My sister is thinking of buying the P&T Dash but doesn't know anyone who has one. Are they any good? I have a Sport and really like it, is there much difference between the Sport and Dash apart from the break on the handle?

I think the dash has a foot bay that is easier to wipe clean?

I have the dash. I did so much researchh on the 2 and decided on the dash because of, the brake (however I didn't realise that it only has 2 handle heights then the brake and the sport has 3 handle heights. It has a coushioned seat insert The handle is slightly more padded making it more to hold onto, IYKWIM the foot part is plastic not material the seat levels are adjustable to any level not just set levels. LIke a school bag straps can be adjusted does taht make sence. The hood comes over a bit further so is more shady in there ummmm..... Oh if you just get the single covers the just zip on rather than going the whoel way over the buggy but I just got the doubles as the cover the back.
Yes the dash and covers etc are more expensive but I think it was well worth it.

I decided the dash because of the brake on the handle. I have been really happy with it.

We picked the dash (bought it in October last year so we'd have a double buggy once #2 arrives) because of the break on the handle, the easy-to-clean foot rest, and the multi options for reclining positions (rather than working with a 3-clip system, it's like a pulley system). We're loving it and definitely think it was worth the extra $$. (Mind you we got a great special with a peanut thrown in, so make sure you suggest she shops around - in store and online - before making the decision.) I personally find that www.kiwibaby.com seemed to consistently have the best prices :-) Hope that helps?
ETA - I just remembered one of the other selling points was that apparently the fabric it's made of is less likely to fade and a bit more hard-wearing. The actual seat is also slightly roomier than the sport, not that it makes that much of a difference.

Oh yeah. I got ours from baby safe.co.nz and got a $30 voucher for spending over $500. So it worked out the same prices as the other cheaper stores. So I got a double rain cover for half price.
