Topic: Urban or Urban Elite Posted: 11 September 2008 at 8:50pm |
Hi
Looking at buying one of the above mountain buggies. I have fallen for a light blue urban but DH is convinced we should got for the elite because of the better fabric. Can any one let me know if the Elite is worth the extra money?
Thanks

I've got the urban in this fabric
urban
The only real difference that I saw when I was looking at them, was that you got the nappy bag with the elite...and the liner.
I think everything else is the same??

We just got the urban and have been REALLY happy with that. My understanding was that the only difference was that you got the nappy bag and the lining. We haven't missed having either of those things.

We ahve the urban in the green and LOVE it. A good friend has the Urban Elite and the only difference (we have compared when out walking!) are that she has the fleecy lining, the bag and the water holder!

I have the urban elite single and the urban double and honestly the only difference is the nappy bag (which I didn't find to be a very good one at all), the drink holder and the fleecy liner inside the buggy. The liner inside it is good for little bubbas but the same effect can be created with a blanket or buggy suit or making your own for much cheaper! Go for the urban I say.

No, the urban elite has suspension . Good grief, it's a pram - you *want* the baby to feel the bumps cos it helps it go to sleep!!!
I have the urban and love it. I didn't feel the suspension, the liner and the nappy bag were worth the extra money. We actually got a MB sleeping bag with the MB (off TM) which we love, but I'm sure I'd live without it!

DH chose the Urban Elite in black, can't even remember why now! We got ours at the Parent and Child Show when I was pg. I think it was $600 and then we got the bassinette for $200

Before the Elite came out all Mountain Buggys used to be made out of a canvas material however now its just the Urban Elite that are made out of the canvas and the Urban use more of a synthetic material. The Elite canvas is more hardwearing and breathable so i guess it just depends what you prefer.

I have bought the urban elite to use with our baby - we managed to get it on special for basically the same price as an urban when I was only 16weeks pregnant.
We liked it cos of the better fabric, liner and suspension. Obviously haven't tried it with baby yet, but hoping its gonna be cool.

we got the elite as well, and love it, have just brought a urban double (not elite) and you can def tell the difference! :) fabric is so much thicker and hard wearing on the elite.. and the liner is soo snuggly!! and I am still using the nappy bag! :)
enjoy!! :)

I have the light blue Urban, I got it for 499 because its the old colour lol, I aint paying $700 for something that is exactly the same as the $499 one!
I love my pram, its nice and light and swivels really really well, I have a sheepskin pram rug thingy in it and the snuggle sack jess made him.
