Rather than TJ the other thread ...

I've tried an ergo and really liked it. But, I'm fickle and totally Beco prints.

For those who have tried both, do you have one that you preferred more than the other, and why?

I prefer the Ergo, on the Beco you strap the child into the carrier then put the carrier on (there is a material part between you and the child), which is fine on the front, but the biggest PITA when you are back carrying.

Although Im sure if you have a Beco and its "normal" its not a biggie .. but to someone who is used to hoisting a child on their back then pulling the Ergo up it was a such a tedius task using a Beco.

They are prrrreeeeeeety though!

I've got a Beco which we love - I like the material between me and baby which Lilfatty mentioned. It means I can put the carrier on, put baby in, undo the straps and pass her to DH like a backpack when I want him to take her

BUT, it took awhile of fiddling to get the straps right so it is comfy to wear IYGWIM. And after trying an Ergo, I found that a bit more comfy, although I don't like the low back.
In all honesty, I will be going for a Manduca next time - that is suuuuuuper comfy!

But yes, Beco prints are sooooo pretty

Yep! I pretty much always back carry when we're out and about. I just put the carrier on, put baby in, then undo chest strap, take off it off (with hip strap still on) and then pull her around and put it back on again, easy peasy

DH always front carries her, which is lovely, they have little chats together . She is atleast 11kg if not more, so not a lightweight either.
