It's time to get a high chair for DS but I'm torn between a more comfy padded type high chair or the plain Phil and Ted chairs that you clip on to a table.

We don't have lots of space so I'm leaning towards P&T but they're pretty basic.

Thoughts?

We've got both. The MeToo is very cool, handy to be able to take with us places, and JJ is very comfy in it, but it's not easy to clean. It's also good to be able to move the freestanding highchair into the middle of the kitchen floor while I'm preparing dinner (but if you have a breakfast bar type bench that you could clamp the MeToo onto then that would work too).

An alternative might be one of the ones that you use on an existing chair (they are material type pockets).

What I do like about our highchair .. is that we can move it around, so we can set her up on the deck to watch daddy mow the lawns while she has lunch.

Or quite often if I want to do something .. I can plop her in the highchair with some blocks and let her play while I get the vacuuming or whatever else I need to do without her clinging onto my leg.

Anyone interested in P&T - make sure you measure yourbreakfast bar/table. I bought the P&T this morning but it doesn't fit on our breakfast bar as it's too thick. Doh!

Also be wary of how much your little one will ruin your table when they start using a fork!!! Our table has about a million dents in it now
