they are quite hard to find in a store, I have been looking at trying to find a wooden cradle. Have you tried a google search? sometimes Trade me have new wooden cradles that look nice.
this one looks cute...but it's out of stock at the moment http://www.iqtoys.co.nz/site/page=item/item=5114

Have you tried your local woodworkers guild? Ours often have lots of different stands at market days and have a "rooms" they meet in and a number to ring, Ihave gotten lots of really super dolls stuff (wooden) off them, and REALLY reasonably priced, like a wooden train and 2 trailers for it for $15 and a lovely wqooden cot for dolls with a matteress for $30

Grandpa's Toys have a bunch of really cute beds/cradles, but ouchy on the price! Kiwibaby have a really cool Travel Mate pram complete with nappy bag and adjustable handle, it's possible the bassinette part comes off which would kill two birds with one stone? Or there's a bunch of really cute accessories (including car seats/capsules) at Winkalotts
(I'm a geek - I've got a bunch of toy websites bookmarked, I didn't go looking specially!)

um... pass. White pages? could be under woodworkers or something? Under clubs in yellow pages? Might be called something else, tho in CHCH, but I'd imagine CHCH would be teeming with little clubs of grandads who like to make cool kids wooden toys. Good luck!
