Has anyone used this? We are going to get a cot, but are really keen to have the baby in our room for the first few weeks, and as we don't have a lot of space are thinking of the moses basket on a stand. I'd love to know what people's thoughts are?
We've got one but haven't used it yet so cant really comment. We got quite a big one that will supposedly fit baby until 3-4 months but when choosing between a moses basket and a bassinet i chose the moses basket because it looked better - terrible!
I got one because it looks cute too. Have used it heaps as it seems to be cooler and i can move him around to the cooler rooms. We have also stayed away from home so took it with us. very handy!
I used our moses basket all the time! It was so handy during the day to be able to move her into whatever room I wanted to be in and great for when we went out during the day and the odd overnight stay.
We got one for the cuteness appeal..is that bad? Anyway, we loved it! Eva was really cosy in it and it was nice and portable. We kept it in her cot and never bothered with a stand. I think she was in it until about 4 months. We got it new off TM. Can't remember the name of the seller, but she sells loads of them.
We used one and it was fantastic. Especially being able to move it round the house. I set it up in the lounge during the day because it was during winter so with the fire roaring it was lovely and warm so Emiy just spent the day in that part of the house keeping cosy in her basket during sleeptime. And Emily was prem and a small baby so used it unti she was 5 months before transition to cot so definitely got a lot of use out of it.
Oh and we got ours off trade me too - kabe was it the lady in Waiuku you got yours from? Babytrenz I think the website is called.
We've got one and I love it! We originally borrowed one from friends as we were expecting bubs to be big and didn't think he'd be in it long. He was born the following week - 8 weeks early lol - so now I expect we'll more than get our money's worth.
I put ours in the lounge during the day and next to my side of the bed at night. Before I go to bed he's in his own room in the dark .. so much easier moving things around and this way he's used to sleeping in his room before he moves to the cot
We've taken our moses basket to friends' places too if we're going to be out for a while. Makes getting Callum down for a nap MUCH easier.
ETA - I sent DH out to buy a new one a the week Callum came home .. the one I thought was super cute was on special
I really like these and think that when i get by BFp thats what we will use. we will pop it in the cot, and as others have mentioned it will be handy to take with us when we are away. I guess though we will still need a porta cot for when they are older.
LOL Kabe. We live in Papakura so rather than get it delivered we drove to Waiuku to pick ours up. Her house was full of moses baskets and all the accessories!! She was very lovely in person to deal with too.
