Topic: sucking on... Posted: 25 May 2007 at 2:42pm |
rocks.. i have noticed to day that tash has been going out to the garden and picking up small rocks(i have rock gardens) and she has been sucking on them!!!
has any one else had this problem and how do i stop it, other then follow her round all day and tell her no and take the rocks off her when she picks them off. and at our new place there is gravel on the drive/parking bit so i wanna nip this in the bud before she trys gravel and chokes....

Briona went through this stage before we shifted houses, getting the stones from the drain (outside the bathroom) and putting them in her mouth. We didn't find a solution sorry, just moved house

Taine did exactly the same thing. we just made him give it back and said no. funnily enough, he has sucked on gravel, bark etc, but has only ever choked once on a sandwich! he grew out of it.

hehe isnt it amazing what kids munch on.
i was thinking about it.. could she have any more teeth coming thru and likes the cold??i dont know when kids stop teething so its probably a silly thought.
but thanks for the reassuance that its a normal thing kiddies do
