Sorry didnt want to bulldoze my way into kebekats post

I also need safety gates but the problem is the railing thingy for the stairs isnt wood it is all glass so I dont know how to attach gates at either end. How do the standard gates work? Is there gates made for that kind of thing? I just dont want to spend money on any old gate when it may not be safe im worried about it slipping on the glass. Im confused lol

Thats what I thought but someone told me that u can get gates that work by putting pressure on each side which u wind up, but personally I have never seen them. I mean if they only work for door frames how do u combat the whole stairs problem. I could put a door one across her room but that wouldnt be at all fun

NeoshasMummy- the gate/barrier that we use for our ranch slider works by putting pressure on each side (it is easy to remove, as we remove at the end of every day). The one we have is Evenflo and we got it from www.winkalotts.co.nz and is a soft gate (i.e. has fabric in the middle instead of being made from plasic or wood).  Hope that helps...

yeah it sounds like that one. Must have been popular...it's a pretty good price as well compared to some of the others in the market. I haven't looked to see if any other places stock it, but maybe if you google it you might find another stockist. Good luck.
