Ella has just gotten the hang of going to the toilet and is doing very well while we're out and about.
My question is what do we do when we're away in Sydney next month?
We're going to be quite busy making the most of our time there and chances are, out for long periods of time in places where we don't know all the toilet locations.
DH had assumed we'd go back to nappies while we're away, but I'm worried about her losing her confidence about being a big girl only having nappies at night. Also about her losing the skills she's learned, holding on and knowing when to go.
What would you do?

you could buy some cloth training undies for her to wear so if she does have an accident she wont get too upset. I would not put her back in nappies. i think its part of a mums lot having to always be on the lookout for toilets when you go out somewhere.

I don't think TT on holiday is a big deal. I'd just make sure to take her at regular intervals. As in, if she hasn't been for a couple of hours then make a special trip to the loo so you don't get caught unexpectedly.

And perhaps just make sure you carry an extra set of clothes (and shoes!) on you.

I agree with nikki I think putting her back in nappies would make her feel like too much of a 'baby' and that might upset her. Just remember to ask her everytime you see a toilet if she wants to go. If you are going to be driving long distances(in the outback or something) it might be a good idea to buy a potty from the $2 shop just to put in boot as a back up.
