the way 1 thing can trigger a whole few hours of play?!

We went shopping yesterday and the supermarket had bucket and spades &sand toy sets for $3.50 so i grabbed one (as we have none.. realised this when going to the beach for the 1st time last summer)

I went to work last night but mike thought it was wonderful, the kids came home, saw the sand toy set and spent the whole night amusing themselves with it playing "going to the beach". I love that my girls are at the age where something will trigger off a memory or a game and they'll just play it for hours!

... he did draw the line though when ayja came down from her bedroom and had stripped off to singlet and nappy and had her bikini togs on (i have a feeling she had a little help as her togs are in the top drawers which only miss Paris can reach).

Cute! Yep Jake is *starting* to do that. Yesterday morning we had been playing at Joeys in the morning and they were playing in the sandpit. Yesterday afternoon, around 4 or so, Jake was digging in the garden and "talking" to and "playing with" Joey, who, of course, was at his own place, but Jake was obviously finishing the game. Cute.
