Topic: First Response Preg test - Pos then neg Posted: 25 March 2011 at 7:56am |
So I took a First Response yesterday morning, I got a faint pink line but outside the 10min window, in the arvo i tried again and i got the same result. I decided to try this morning thinking it would be darker there is absolutely no 2nd line today. I dont think the first two were evaporation lines as they had colour to them, anyone else had this?

Hi Mumma2be, sorry this hasn't happened to me. All my bfp's have come up pretty quickly.
Goodluck tho, I hope it turns into a bfp for you - how late is AF, maybe it's too early to test?

How much longer outside the 10min window did u get the pink line? was is minutes or hours?
In my experience i only ever got a line was when i was pregnant, and that was with first response
How late is AF? Maybe you need to wait a bit longer for a definite result, FINGERS CROSSED!!! Sounds promising tho!!!

I should mention the positives were from one packet and the negatives from a different packet so maybe one of the batches was faulty? It was more like 30 mins but they are def pink colour lines. Grrrr so frustrating i just want to know one way or the other. Will keep you posted

Got my period last night which means my cycle was only 23 days...very strange. Oh well try again next month i guess I never usually have symptoms with my period but since ovulation felt a little crampy etc and dull aches now and then. Quite strange.

I have had that happen to my quite a few times with those tests and thats why I wont buy them anymore.
I had a nice decent pink line and I showed my friend who was at my house and yep she saw the pink line, and then I got my period(bang on time so def my period), and it happened a few other times as well, pink lines, then got my period bang on time, and also would get negatives with first morning pee.
I buy my tests on line now, from save on tests, internet cheapie tests but pretty good!

I've always had correct results from FR,and in the afternoon too, well before my AF was due.
Sounds like one of the batches may have been faulty...hope next month is your month !

I got better lines with FR than any other test (got an easy to see line at lunchtime on 10DPO!), quicksticks (dipstick version of the tests at your local doctors clinic) were the ones I always got evap lines on!!
Best of luck!
