Hi all. This is my first post here and am hoping someone may have some advice for me.
My partner and I were not trying to conceive when I found out I was pregnant for the first time but this quickly changed to excitement as I always that TTC would be extremely hard for me as I have PCOS. I had some spotting early on but this stopped not long before I had a scan at 8 weeks and a heartbeat was detected. I had another scan just before the 12 week mark and my partner and I were devastated to find out that I had had a missed miscarriage at 9 weeks and 5 days into the pregnancy.

I stayed strong and 2-3 weeks later I went into the hospital for a D&C. I bled heavily for a few days after this but this then changed to light bleeding and then constant spotting with a day or two of no spotting at all.
It has now been 8 weeks since the procedure and I am still spotting and am yet to get AF. Three weeks ago I had bloods done and my hcg levels were 16, the following week 10 and this week 8.1. Is this normal? Should it be taking this long for my hcg to go back to zero?
While I was staying strong at the start it has been three months since I found out I had a missed miscarriage and the drawn out nature of it is turning me into a blithering mess. The constant spotting serves to remind me about the pregnancy and the baby that could have been every time I go to the bathroom.
My partner and I had decided we would start TTC after my body returned to normal but am worried that that something is wrong and that maybe the doctors damaged something whilst performing the d&C. I have also started having irregular stomach cramps over the last 2 weeks.

Has anyone had a similar experience to me or knows whether what I am going through is normal or not?
