I knew this was going to happen sooner or later, but man I wish I was wrong.
The first 8 weeks of her little brothers life she was great with him 90% of the time. She did bash him on the head every so often but now she is hitting him all the time. There is no pattern with it either, she just runs up to him and gives him the bash. Sometimes I am feeding him, sometimes he is crying and sometimes he is lying there quietly.

Ahhhh! Also I have tried every form of discipline I can think off, from hitting her hand, to time out to giving her a cuddle and telling her that I love her and everything inbetween.

Anyway, any suggestions would be fantasic before she decides to scar the poor boy for life

Hi I had this with my oldest two, I made sure I reacted fairly seriously with the older child (even if it meant taking the baby off the breast to deal with her). I think I used to smack her and put her in her room for a couple of minutes (gosh that sounds like double whammy now that I think of it lol). She was 19mos when DD2 was born. Just stay consistent, and the other thing that helped me a lot was spending a good patch of quality time with her while the baby was sleeping. I found it passed at the 6-8w mark so hopefully things will settle for you soon too.

oh no you poor thing. I haven't had this with my two (touch wood) but I can imagine how you must be feeling as Isaac has bopped his little brother on the head a few times.

Maybe ignoring the behaviour will get rid of it?????? Sounds like you have tried everything else.

xx
