okay so toby at 26 mths is still in the cot, but we are going to need it again eventually so have to get him in his bed. the other night after i retucked him in i left the cot side down by accident...that was fine but he got out and came into our bed at 4am and i let him stay...but he is horrible to sleep with!
anyway i thought maybe i should leave it down more often so did it again and again he was in our room at 4am (like clockwork that kid) and this time i put him back to bed. it took 3 attempts but worked eventually and he slept till 6 then came and got into our bed and fall back asleep till 8. a lovely lie in for us all that day.
anyway did the same last night but he got up at 5 and came into our room, hubby told me it was 5.30 so i let him stay but i wouldnt if i had known the true time...he wouldnt go back to sleep till almost 7 and then for only 10 mins... grrrr tired mummy and tired baby today - cause i had been awake since 3 expecting him to come into our room.
anyway i dont even know if i have a point now... oh yeah, does anyone have any tips on the best way to deal with this early waking and getting into bed with us.? and if i just put him back into his cot every time he gets up will he get the message and stop it? or am i doomed to keep taking him back.?
I never had these problems with gabriel...

he was such a good sleeper!
