Just wondering how many people have used a kiddy board and how you found it? What age was your oldest when they started using it? Ella will be 2 years 9 months when this baby is born, so don't really see the point in buying a double buggy so am hoping that the kiddy board will work for us (I think my main problem will be conviencing her to stay on the board).

BTW we have a MB

Cheers,

A friend has one but not sure how it is going for them although her toddler is about 26mths. We looked into it them decided to get a dble MB instead. One thing I do know is that it doesn't work well if you are using a bassinette on your MB as it sticks out quite a bit

that's interesting you should say that about the bassinette/carrycot as we have 1 of those and when I was talking to the sales person in the baby factory she told me that using the carrycot & kiddy board was the ideal combination and that was actually the picture on the box she showed me.  i think I might have to get the carrycot out again and see how it goes on the buggy and how much space there is.

So, another qu- has anyone used a carrycot & kiddy board and did it work OK?

I possibly didn't word it very well. We were told at the P&C Show last year by the MB stand that they didn't suggest using a kiddy board with the carrycot as the child couldn't stand properly as the carrycot was quite long. I got the impression that you would be able to use the 2 together but it wasn't ideal and MB didn't endorse it

thanks for that Linzy- I can't remember how far the carrycot sticks out so might have a play around with it soon. Thats a good point re: Parent & Child show, might wait until then and talk to the MB people (hopefully i can actually see one on a buggy as well, as I have never seen one IRL).

my nephew was just over two when he worked out to stand on the back of the buggy, with his arms tucked under mums so he couldn't fall off.
no kiddyboard (not sure how safe it was) but he loved it, and would tell people off if they had their hands wrong.

If you look on Trade me there are a few people that are selling kiddy board type products where the child sits like on a bike. One of them has it out the side rather than behind. Could be another option to look into. I haven't tried it myself but looks great in theory.

Yeah I have been looking at one of those bike things- only concern was how comfortable they would actually be to sit on and the fact that the toddler can't really see where you are going (i.e. can just see out the sides but not out in front). But yeah when I saw it, I thought they looked pretty cool.

Now thinking I might go to the Parent & Child show in Oct/Nov and see if MB have a kiddy board I can trial first.
