Hopeing someone can help me

I am taking my neighbour to WINZ to get the UB He is quite old and has lost his job to be a casual on call. He is going to try and get te benefit.

What should he take to the appointment with him???

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

He will need 3 forms of ID i.e. Drivers Licence, Passport, something with address on it etc. He may also need a letter from his employer stating his employment status, hours and pay rate as that will affect the amount he is eligible for.

He will also need bank account details and also a current balance from the bank. They may ask for asset info so good idea to either know that stuff or take with him. If he is renting take tenancy agreement and/or letter from someone he pays rent to stating the amount and frequency for rent assistance as well.

Here is a WINZ Linky that may help as well.

You need to ph first and go through a questionnaire to see if he qualifies for that benefit and they will either transfer him to another link or talk to him about job skills etc. and book him an appt for a seminar which he just takes his cv and photo id to, then he books another appt after that which is the appt where he applies for bene (that's if he's a UB). At the first seminar he gets app form, on the front of that it tells him everything he needs to provide.
